My wife and I did a 9 day self-guided tour with Randonnee based out of Vancouver, B.C. [For some reason there is one star default for guide quality, when in fact there was no guide.] Although the accommodation was very good overall (food too) and the scenery and culture enchanting, we were disappointed by the service provided by Randonnee. We had provided sizing particulars well in advance but my wife's bike was too large; I ended up using the bike chosen for her and a substitute was found for her. The gears were inadequate for us given the hilly terrain for much of the trip and the twist- type of shifting provided to my wife was, over time, hard on her wrists. The bikes were without shock absorbers and early on my wife's derailer stopped working well. The backup support was problematic (i.e. communication obstacles). The route directions were confusing at times with the result that I had to use my GPS to figure out the correct routing on some days. The bikes came without mirrors, a hazard in our opinion (I brought one with me from Canada). Randonnee did not follow up with us en route to see how we were doing and nobody contacted us on the last day to thank us for using Randonnee nor did anybody contact us after we let Randonnee know of our disappointments. Some of the days were far too long resulting in time lost that could have been used to better embrace the many opportunities along the routes. We do not recommend the Randonnee cycling Puglia trip.

We are back home now after our exciting holiday in Europe during which we did the Randonnee Self Led Bike Ride from Prague to Vienna. The ride went brilliantly - the bikes were terrific, the route easy to follow from the trip notes, our bike/luggage handler was great and the scenery stunning!
This is the 4th self-led bike ride we have done with Randonnee and we enjoyed ourselves just as much as if it were our first.
