Some things never change

Some things never change! We took this ride several years ago and had the same negative experiences people are reporting today. We've been on over 45 bike tours and this one is the worst organized of all. There is not one good thing I can say about the organization of this ride. One guy driving a sag didn't even have a drivers license! We experienced the same things cited by others: a couple of campgrounds didn't even know we were coming, sag support was non-existent, etc., etc. I can't believe this ride is still going on.

Be sure to do a careful google search for past ride reviews of this ride. While the scenery in Utah is beautiful, the ride organizer has no clue how to put on an organized ride. The shuttle situation was a disaster, there were no route maps provided, many of the campgrounds didn't know we were coming, national parks didn't know we were coming, rest stops were minimal and snacks provided were at the rest stops were a joke. Do yourself a favor and skip this ride with this organizer.

LASUBA - previously known as LAGBRAU!!!!!

I took this tour in 2014 and just recently read the reviews, going back many years on this site. http://lagbraureview.blogspot.com/ I felt it was my responsibility to inform about the name change - it is still the same operator. I encourage anyone considering this ride to read these reviews before signing up. The ride was beautiful - Utah is an amazing state - but the ride was unbelievably unorganized. In reading the previous reviews, that is the way it has always been and always will be. If you do this ride, be sure to have your own sag support. Do not rely on the organizer!

lasuba lagbrau same ol same ol

supposed to be fully supported, but far from it for 2015. All previous negative comments apply to 2015 tour. This event needs to be shut down before a catastrophe occurs. As was stated on another site. " to call this ride a train wreck is an insult to train wrecks. Started out in a old beat up 15 pass van with 300000 miles on it. Has to turn ac off to try to keep from overheating. Didnt work. Hiked to a creek to get water for the radiator. 1st night people that had paid for motel had no reservations. Slept in tent with no blankets. Les offered no refund…. this happened several times. Hum????? Most of group paid extra for Lake Powell boat ride. Didn't happen, no refunds available. Hum???? One morning ( due to prior payment challenges) restaurant wouldn't serve breakfast until Les showed up and paid in advance. 17 people waiting. Les was asleep in his van. Told support help to go home ( these were the only people really working well to support riders…. they were fantastic) never wanted to see them again. They left evening before toughest (6800 feet climbing) ride day. All riders suffered through day without water. Les had minor explosions if anyone mentioned any of these things to him….. just trying to help make things run smother. Southern Utah ride is FANTASTIC. Do it, but if with this guy, plan on disorganization and disfunction beyond description

Could be much better ride

Ditto the previous comments. One hotel had bedbugs - had to get other arrangements. Got into camp one day only to have to move to another. I holed up for 4 hours waiting for the SAG to come by - good thing that I did too. There was no water for the next 30 miles through the desert. Worse organized ride I've ever participated in. It becomes apparent the organizer is not in the business to provide a service, but rather to collect money. If you go, self-SAG.
